Where in the World is Mayor Santiago?

The Daily Journal published “2019 Business Review & Forecast Part 1” on February 15, 2019.   Page 5 focused on Millville with the questions being answered by Ms. Udalavos instead of Mayor Santiago. Why? According to the newspaper:             Mayor Michael Santiago was provided multiple opportunities to offer answers to these         questions. However, unlike the mayors of Vineland and Bridgeton, Santiago did not agree participate.             The Daily Journal then reached out to Udalovas, who agreed to answer these questions in Santiago’s absence. Why would Santiago not answer the questions about economic development in Millville? Does he not know the answers? Does he not care? Is he not involved in the economic development of Millville? The other question that comes to mind is what else is the mayor missing or not doing?

ATTENTION: WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH!!!

The Levoy is asking the City to once again defer and “forgive “ the millions in loans the City gave it. At the commission meeting on February 19, 2019 Team Santiago will be voting to cancel the $5 million dollar loan by changing it to a “grant” and yet again deferring the Levoy’s $1.6 million dollar loan. Bottom line: Over the next 20 years the Levoy is only supposed to pay $200,000 of the $1.6 million dollar loan. Then in the year 2039 it will be re-evaluated again. As for the $5 million dollars the interest and money owed is now no more. It is nice that Team Santiago is intent on the Levoy succeeding. What happens to the citizens of Millville when they can’t afford the tax increase that is on the horizon for this year. Who is going to help the families of Millville succeed? Get involved. Let your voices be heard. Is this what you want for Millville?
