What did Mayor Santiago's Campaign Cost?

The final Elec reports have been submitted for the November 7th Millville City commission. All candidates, committees, and Pacs that receive donations to use in elections must file Elec reports. If you would like to look up Elec reports for yourself the link is:

The campaign contribution totals are the following:

                        Mayor Santiago’s Team               $30,798

                        South Jersey Stands Tall             $62,652

                        Total                                                    $93,450

South Jersey Stands Tall is a group from Atlantic County. It is interesting that they would want to contribute over $62,000 for a local election in another county. South Jersey Stands Tall paid for the negative campaign ads, which helped Mayor Santiago’s Team get elected. For that matter, most of Mayor Santiago’s Team’s contributions were also from out of town contributors.

The question is why? It all comes down to money. Many of the contributors have already been paid back in professional service contracts. For more information read the previous blog on Millville Partisan Politics.

Did the voters see this coming? Is this what they wanted when they cast their votes? Unfortunately in this election, the citizens just found out what their city was worth to Michael Santiago, James Parent, Asleigh Udalovas, Joseph Pepitone, and Bruce Cooper - $93,450. 00.
